While it took approximately 9 years to reach 100 million downloads since its founding, the recent increase from 200 million to 300 million downloads was achieved in just 1 year and 10 months, marking the fastest growth pace on record.

This growth is not solely due to an increase in the number of adopting companies. It reflects market changes, as corporate apps have become a daily touchpoint for consumers and have expanded their role to become infrastructure supporting marketing and organizational operations for businesses.

◾️Cumulative 300 Million Downloads in 13 Years Since Founding: Accelerated Growth of Yappli-Provided Apps

Since its founding in 2013, Yappli has supported app development and operations for over 950 companies through "Yappli." The cumulative downloads, which surpassed the 100 million mark in 2022 and 200 million in 2024, are further accelerating in growth speed.

The background to this is the expansion of the app's role in areas closest to consumers' daily lives (clothing, food, housing), evolving from something used during store visits to something used daily. On average, Japanese smartphone users (※1) are using approximately 2.5 Yappli-developed apps, with monthly active users (MAU) reaching 44 million and annual app viewing time totaling approximately 112 million hours.

The "Food and Beverage (Dining Out & Takeout)" sector has been a particular driver of recent growth. Restaurant apps, often used to digitize paper point cards, have evolved over the past few years to offer experiences that complete mobile ordering and payment within the app, in addition to functions used at the point of sale.

In fact, the food and beverage sector accounts for approximately one-third of the recent 100 million download increase, deeply integrating into consumers' daily meals.

The scale of 300 million cumulative downloads signifies that corporate apps are no longer limited to specific industries or use cases, but are being used as a means for companies to build deeper, new relationships with consumers and employees as "connecting touchpoints."
