Yappli Develops SAML Authentication Infrastructure System for Secure and Convenient Enterprise App Access

Yappli, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Yasufumi Ihara), provider of the app platform “Yappli,” announced that it has developed a “SAML Authentication Infrastructure System” that integrates with enterprise ID management platforms while combining advanced security with ease of use. Development background: Breaking through the “authentication barrier” in enterprise app adoption Until now, implementing SAML authentication in apps based on a company’s own security policy required custom development for each organization. The typical cost of around 10 million yen and several months of development time had become major barriers. Yappli’s newly developed “SAML Authentication Infrastructure System” supports SAML 2.0, a global standard protocol, through configuration in the admin console alone. It enables rapid integration with major identity providers such as Microsoft Entra ID and Okta. Use cases include: Secure single sign-on (SSO): Employees can log in to apps using the Microsoft Entra ID accounts they already use every day. This eliminates the need to manage app-specific passwords while improving both convenience and security. Personalized experiences through Yappli CRM integration: Attribute information such as department and job title obtained during SAML authentication can be stored in “Yappli CRM,” enabling the delivery of content optimized for each employee, such as internal news and schedules. Reduced operational workload: User management for tens of thousands of employees can be centralized on the existing ID platform, Entra ID. Account suspensions due to onboarding and offboarding are reflected immediately, significantly reducing operational costs. As the first implementation of this system, it has been adopted for an internal portal app used by domestic employees of NEC Corporation. The system enables single sign-on using Microsoft Entra ID, formerly Azure AD, as well as personalized distribution based on attribute information.
