[Background of the Collaboration]
Under the vision of "From Kyushu to the World, the Yamaya Standard," Yamaya has been promoting "Made in KYUSHU" to convey Kyushu's food culture to the world and has been engaged in initiatives to showcase the appeal of Kyushu's food both domestically and internationally. Meanwhile, Yamachiku, with the mission "Protecting Chopsticks, Connecting Hearts," is a manufacturer of purely domestic bamboo chopsticks that has continued to make "Only Bamboo Chopsticks." They view chopsticks not merely as eating utensils, but as entities that support Japanese food culture and dining tables, connecting people and feelings of gratitude to the future through their craftsmanship.
Both companies share the desire to convey the value of food culture from their respective positions and enrich people's lives. The idea of making the time spent at the dining table richer through the "food" delivered by Yamaya and the "utensils for eating" delivered by Yamachiku has aligned, leading to this collaboration.
To express gratitude to customers who have long patronized "Umada shi" and to deliver an experience that enriches their daily dining table, we will propose new ways to enjoy food from both the "food" and "utensil" perspectives through the continuation benefit for "Umada shi" Otokudoku ni Todokē Bin" and the chopstick experience at "Yamaya Factory Terrace."
