(Headquarters: Hyogo Prefecture, President & CEO: Noboru Yamamura, hereafter "our company") will commence general sales of the "Special Frozen Kale Pizza" on Rakuten Ichiba starting Thursday, April 23, 2026. This pizza utilizes Kirakira Veggie kale produced at the plant factory of its group company, Yamamura JR Freight Kiravege Station Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fukui Prefecture, President & CEO: Shuji Kimura, hereafter "YJKS").

■ Development Background: A "Non-Bitter" Kale Pizza Born from Reducing Food Loss
The salad kale of "Kirakira Veggie," cultivated at YJKS's plant factory, features "low bitterness and softness that can be eaten raw." However, kale that could not be distributed in the market due to irregular shapes or sizes—despite having no quality issues—or surplus kale that could not be shipped, faced the challenge of becoming food loss.

Therefore, we developed the "Special Frozen Kale Pizza" as a product to deliciously upcycle such kale and allow more people to enjoy it daily. In the presale conducted on the crowdfunding site "Makuake," we received support six times our initial goal. The authentic taste, which suppressed the characteristic bitterness of kale, was highly evaluated alongside the story of reducing food loss. Receiving such a strong response and numerous requests for general sales from customers, we have now decided to start selling it on Rakuten Ichiba.
