Yamaha Launches YouTube Program 'THE CREATE feat. VOCALOID' to Discover and Nurture Next-Generation Creators of Vocaloid Culture

Yamaha Corporation (hereinafter, 'the company') announces the launch of 'THE CREATE feat. VOCALOID,' a music production-focused YouTube program aimed at discovering and nurturing the next generation of creators (Vocaloid P) in Vocaloid culture. Applications for the 'Talent Discovery Tournament Program' within the show will begin on Monday, June 15, 2026.

About 'THE CREATE feat. VOCALOID'

Produced by the company—the creator of VOCALOID™—this music production-focused program aims to discover and nurture the next generation of creators (Vocaloid P) in Vocaloid culture.

The program features two main components: the 'Talent Discovery Tournament,' which highlights emerging creators, and the 'Creator Academy,' which delivers multidimensional insights into the creative process, techniques, thought processes, and the intrinsic appeal of music production through song analyses and discussions by renowned Vocaloid P and musicians.

By closely following the behind-the-scenes journey of music creation, discovering hidden talents, and sharing the expertise of leading creators, the program aims to inspire the next generation of creators to learn, challenge themselves, and grow.

We aim to create a show where viewers can watch, discover, and support creators’ growth together—

a program where 'creators and listeners co-create' the future.

Background of the Project

Since launching VOCALOID in 2003, the company has spent over 20 years working with creators and listeners to advance Vocaloid culture. As a technology provider and a key contributor to this cultural movement, we believe it is our important responsibility to create opportunities and platforms where the next generation of creators can challenge themselves and thrive.

With 'THE CREATE feat. VOCALOID,' we aim not only to discover new talent but also to widely share the insights, music production processes, and creative appeal of top-tier creators.

Through this program, we will support the growth of music creators and provide new inspiration for those aspiring to begin their creative journey, contributing to the further development of Vocaloid culture.

About the Talent Discovery Tournament

To draw out creators’ 'talent,' we will conduct multiple rounds of selection while closely following their creative activities over a set period. In each round, participants will create songs based on themes and challenges assigned by the program. The submitted songs will be reviewed and scored by featured renowned Vocaloid P and musicians, and the winner will be offered an opportunity to fulfill their 'dream.'

Unlike short-term contests that only evaluate finished songs, this tournament focuses on the essence of creation—the process of trial and error—depicting how creators’ thinking, emotions, and skills are refined as they engage deeply with their music.
