Yamaha Corporation will participate in the "Media over IP (MoIP) Special Project" within the live demonstration network "ShowNet" at Interop Tokyo 2026, Japan's largest network and IT technology exhibition, held at Makuhari Messe from June 10 to June 12, 2026. The company will conduct a demonstration titled "Demonstration of Next-Generation Live Production Infrastructure: Full Remote Production Across Three Locations."

In this project, Yamaha will connect its headquarters (Hamamatsu, Shizuoka), Yokohama office (Yokohama, Kanagawa), and Makuhari Messe (Chiba, Chiba) via network to perform a full remote production of a virtual character music live concert. Moving beyond typical two-location remote productions, this three-location setup employs a hybrid configuration using best-effort lines and IOWN® APN, aiming to showcase the application of IP transmission technology—honed in the broadcasting industry—into the live entertainment domain.

Purpose of the Project This trial aims to expand Media over IP (MoIP) technology, which has primarily progressed in the broadcasting industry, into the rapidly growing live entertainment market. Through this demonstration, Yamaha intends to propose a new vision for next-generation live production infrastructure by merging the reliability of its enterprise network equipment with years of expertise in pro-audio and content production.

Project Overview - Roles of the Three Locations: - Yamaha Headquarters (Motion Tracking Site): Captures motion data for virtual characters. - Makuhari Messe (Live Venue): The main venue for live performance in front of attendees, with stages set at both the ShowNet and Yamaha booths. - Yamaha Yokohama Office (FoH & Mixing Site): Consolidates video, audio, motion tracking, and lighting data from all sites, conducting Front of House (FoH) mixing remotely.

- Network Configuration: - Connection: Yamaha Headquarters ⇔ Makuhari - Line: NURO Access (NURO Biz) - Connection: Makuhari ⇔ Yamaha Yokohama Office - Line: IOWN APN (All-Photonics Network) By combining best-effort general lines with IOWN APN, which delivers ultra-low latency and low jitter, the project verifies the feasibility of "remote production regardless of network characteristics."

- Key Equipment Used: - Panasonic Connect: IT/IP Live Video Platform KAIROS "AT-KC200T" - FOR-A: IP/SDI Gateway "FA-1616HB-12G" - Sony Marketing: Media Edge Processor "NXL-ME80" - TRIBALCON.: Real-time 3DCG virtual character live system - Yamaha: Standard L3 switches "SWX3220-30TCs/30MC," Giga Access VPN router "RTX3510," digital mixing consoles "DM7 Compact (DM7C)" and "DM3," powered speaker "DHR12," and general audio protocol "GPAP."

- Performer: Virtual character "Saigo R. Irori" is scheduled to perform, showcasing live music through remote production technology.

Demonstration Schedule: Performances will be held at the "ShowNet Studio" (Hall 4, Makuhari Messe) and the Yamaha booth.
