Awarded Product Overview
Yamaha Electronic Piano TORCH "T01" (Torch T01) (Limited domestic release in February 2025)
This is an unprecedented electronic piano with black keys that utilizes unused materials generated during the careful selection and processing of rare grenadilla wood (African blackwood), which is used for woodwind instruments such as clarinets and oboes.
Our company is committed to "Otono Mori" (Forest of Sound) activities (*1) to enable the utilization of rare wood materials in future instrument manufacturing. TORCH "T01" is a new concept model born from such a challenge toward sustainable manufacturing. With grenadilla wood as its theme, it aims to be played and cherished for a long time through its warm appearance, tactile feel, and the meticulous hand-finishing of craftsmen.
For the exterior, wood-based boards were adopted out of environmental consideration, reducing the use of conventionally used polyvinyl chloride sheets. To maximize the characteristics and texture of the wood, a hand-finish with natural oils is applied. Furthermore, our unique laser technology was used to express the grain pattern of grenadilla bark.

Yamaha TransAcoustic Guitars "TAG3 C/TAS3 C" (TAG3 C released November 2024 / TAS3 C released November 2025)
TransAcoustic guitars are equipped with an actuator inside the guitar, allowing rich resonance to be added to the raw sound without the use of amplifiers or effectors. Our new acoustic guitars equipped with our proprietary "TransAcoustic™" technology were born in 2016, and "TAG3 C" and "TAS3 C" are their second-generation models. They have been well-received for their high-quality resonance and playability, where real sound and effect sound integrate and spread throughout the guitar, as well as their sophisticated design.
In addition to being able to apply three types of effects directly from the guitar body, players can also layer phrases using a looper function to record and loop playback, stimulating their creativity. Furthermore, a dedicated app allows for effect tone adjustment, and audio playback on the guitar body via Bluetooth® connection, realizing the music creation process of "listening," "playing," and "creating" with just one guitar.
Both models feature a solid Sitka spruce soundboard treated with A.R.E. processing (*2), and solid mahogany for the back and sides.
