XREAL, a company that develops and sells AR glasses, announced that its sunglasses-style AR glasses, XREAL 1S, have been adopted at Shinjuku Future Gallery, an information and co-creation communication hub for the Shinjuku Station West Exit District Development Plan, operated by Odakyu Electric Railway Co., Ltd. The facility is scheduled to open on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. The facility shares information about urban development in Shinjuku and will exhibit content that lets visitors virtually experience the progress of construction work normally hidden behind temporary enclosures, using the latest XR technology. XREAL 1S will be installed in the XR experience corner inside the facility. Through stereoscopic images generated by the device’s proprietary functions, visitors will be able to view immersive large-screen content, including completed images of the planned buildings inside and out, as well as daytime and nighttime drone footage of the construction site.
