Bandai's Official "Gashapon®" Specialty Store Opens: "Gashapon Bandai Official Shop" Cinema Sunshine Shimonoseki Store to Open on Friday, May 15, 2026!

Bandai Namco Experience Inc. and Bandai Namco Amusement Inc., in collaboration with Bandai Co., Ltd., will open the "Gashapon Bandai Official Shop" Cinema Sunshine Shimonoseki store, a specialty store for Bandai's capsule toy brand "Gashapon," on Friday, May 15, 2026, inside "Cinema Sunshine Shimonoseki" (Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture).

In recent years, the capsule toy industry has seen an increase in large-scale capsule toy specialty stores, enjoyed by many customers as an accessible form of entertainment. Driven by the desire to directly deliver the unique "exciting experience" and "unique products" of "Gashapon," Bandai's original capsule toy brand, to fans, Bandai, Bandai Namco Experience (responsible for planning and production), and Bandai Namco Amusement (with know-how in operating large capsule toy specialty stores) are collaborating to open this new store.

The "Gashapon Bandai Official Shop" Cinema Sunshine Shimonoseki store will open in Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, as an official Bandai capsule toy specialty store featuring 240 machines. By stocking all new Bandai products and providing a "Gashapon experience" that can only be found here, the store will promote the new appeal of "Gashapon." Additionally, there will be a section dedicated to movie-related products, unique to its cinema location.

With intricate sculpting and unique product development, capsule toys have now become a representative presence among miniature toys. We will continue to expand our stores to convey the entertainment value of "Gashapon" to people both domestically and internationally.
