Zacti Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka, Osaka; President & CEO: Masaki Kikugawa), a provider of video DX solutions, will begin offering a new safety DX solution for forklifts, 'Fokureko AI+', starting mid-July 2026, utilizing its video utilization business platform 'XBP'.

Fokureko AI+ is a solution that enhances safety and prevents hazards in manufacturing and logistics environments where people and forklifts interact, by leveraging AI analysis of near-miss incident data. Building upon the existing services offered through Zacti’s Fokureko—AI person detection, voice alerts, and automatic recording of hazardous scenes—the new solution adds automated functions for extracting high-risk scenes, video analysis, and generating safety reports.

This enables not only the reduction of collision risks between forklifts and pedestrians but also end-to-end integration of 'hazard detection → warning → recording → analysis and improvement'. By accumulating and analyzing near-miss incidents as data, the solution supports safety management and continuous improvement initiatives at operational sites.

Development Background

In logistics warehouses and manufacturing plants, systems such as AI person detection and dashcams are increasingly being adopted to prevent contact accidents between forklifts and pedestrians.

However, in many workplaces, although hazardous scenes can be recorded, analyzing them—such as identifying where risks frequently occur, which time periods have concentrated risks, which vehicles have more near-misses, or whether safety measures are effective—requires significant time and effort, placing a heavy burden on managers.

Additionally, there has been a challenge in fully utilizing collected near-miss data for company-wide safety initiatives.

To address this, Zacti has developed Fokureko AI+, evolving from a 'system for detecting hazards' to a 'system for managing and improving safety'.

Trial Implementation Company Comments

Asahi Roji Co., Ltd. Manager, Safety Planning & Promotion Department Mr. Osamu Komatsu

"Until now, our company has worked on accident prevention through safety education and hazard prediction activities, but we faced challenges in objectively understanding on-site risk trends and the effectiveness of improvements.

During the trial, we introduced the system to approximately 100 forklifts across nine locations. Being able to visualize near-miss situations in report format has made it easier to identify high-risk time periods and specific forklifts. In particular, the classification of hazardous scenes into six categories has been helpful in clarifying key points for safety guidance and awareness.

After the trial, a survey of the implementing sites showed that about 90% of supervisors responded with 'recommend' or 'strongly recommend' company-wide deployment. We received high evaluations from on-site staff as well. We feel that the ability to conduct safety activities based on data, rather than relying on experience and intuition, is a significant value."

Key Features of Fokureko AI+

1. End-to-End Integration from Hazard Detection to Improvement Fokureko AI+ integrates 'AI person detection', 'real-time alerts via voice and warning lights', 'automatic recording of hazardous scenes', 'near-miss analysis', and 'report generation' into a single platform.

It not only prevents contact accidents on-site but also connects detected near-misses to improvement activities, supporting continuous enhancement of safety standards.

2. Visualization of High-Risk Near-Miss Incidents Fokureko AI+ automatically categorizes collected hazardous scenes into six types based on risky behaviors, then aggregates and analyzes them to clearly visualize on-site risk trends.

Furthermore, it automatically generates reports on incident trends, month-over-month and period comparisons, and comparisons by forklift and by site. Managers can make data-driven decisions on where risks are concentrated and which countermeasures should be prioritized. Analysis results can be exported in PDF or PowerPoint format, ready for use in safety meetings or monthly reports. The solution streamlines not only hazard identification but also policy planning, sharing, and review, supporting ongoing safety initiatives.

3. AI Accelerates the Safety Management PDCA Cycle

AI analyzes hazardous scenes, automatically performing tasks such as 'explaining the nature of the hazard', 'assessing risk levels', and 'extracting high-priority video clips based on risk rankings'. By reviewing footage with higher risk scores first, managers can accurately grasp on-site near-miss conditions.

Importantly, the AI used for these analyses does not utilize customer video or data for external AI training, ensuring security. The system operates under robust information security measures, including data encryption during transmission and storage and strict access controls, allowing customers to entrust their valuable video data with confidence.

Going forward, Zacti will continue to contribute to safer logistics and manufacturing environments through video DX solutions, including Fokureko AI+.
