The International Biology Olympiad is an international biology competition aimed at secondary school students worldwide. It is held annually to increase interest in biology, unlock the talents of participants, exchange information on biology education in each country, and promote international exchange among young people studying biology. Counting from the 1st competition in 1990 (held in Olomouc, former Czechoslovakia), the 37th international competition in 2026 will be held in Vilnius, Republic of Lithuania.
