Past Photos

'Salsa Street' started in Yoyogi Park in 2015.
Initially, the unchanged concept is as follows.

SALSA (salsa) is Spanish. It means SAUCE in English. The etymology of SALSA comes from SAL (Latin for salt). Other words related to this SAL include SALAD, SALAMI, SAUSAGE, and SALARY, the origin of salary being that salt was paid as wages in ancient Rome.
A sauce is made by mixing vegetables, fruits, spices, etc. The concept is that humans, like sauce, should mix and enjoy together, transcending frameworks such as culture, race, nationality, language, generation, and gender.

Venue: Sumida Park Soyokaze Hiroba (Past photos)

Sumida Park.
Sumida Park is located about 634m from the Tokyo Skytree, which is 634m high. It is easily accessible, a 6-minute walk from Honjo-azumabashi Station on the Toei Asakusa Line, and within walking distance from Asakusa and Oshiage. It's a prime location with a great view looking up at the Skytree at a 45-degree angle.

It is a pleasant season where we appreciate the sunlight.
'SUDADA' means 'to sweat' in Spanish.
Please come to 'Salsa Street 2026 Sumida de Sudada' to experience Latin culture and the joy of international exchange!
Let's start the 2026 Golden Week at Sumida Park!
