Synopsis for "Death of a Promising Athlete and Disappearance of a Girl"

In a lake in the Peak District, the body of a young man is found in a submerged car. At the same time, the young man's girlfriend also goes missing. Ellis is dispatched to the local police as an interim investigation commander. However, Belmont, the former commander, is furious with Ellis for directly contradicting the on-site investigation policy. He assigns his subordinate, Harper, to monitor Ellis and obstruct the investigation. Although initially distrustful, Harper develops admiration for Ellis's brilliant skills and passion for investigation.
