After undergoing his third neck surgery in 2024 and a long period of rehabilitation, he held a three-night classical concert series titled "Eve of Awakening" in Tokyo in April 2026, signaling his comeback. Now, WOWOW will exclusively broadcast live the second day of the two-night performance at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, which marks the second chapter of his classical world tour that began in Japan. The following week, a Japanese-subtitled version will be broadcast and distributed. For this performance, YOSHIKI commented on his official website that he wants to challenge himself with expressions that go beyond the conventional framework, not just classical piano playing. He expressed his enthusiasm to deliver an "emotional, powerful, and explosive stage." YOSHIKI has previously created concerts as a comprehensive art form, fusing music with visual expression, ballet, and various other arts.
