WOWOW Drama 'The Man Who Carries the Voices of August' Wins 63rd Galaxy Award

The drama 'The Man Who Carries the Voices of August,' planned and produced by WOWOW, has won the Grand Prize in the TV category of the 63rd Galaxy Awards. The Galaxy Award was established in 1963 by the Japan Council for Better Radio and Television to recognize outstanding programs, individuals, and organizations. This marks the third time WOWOW has received this honor. The work is based on the true story of journalist Akihiko Ito, who spent his life recording the voices of atomic bomb survivors, and was broadcast on NHK in August 2025. The film stars Masahiro Motoki, with Sadao Abe and others in the cast.
