The Pharcyde is a hip-hop group from Los Angeles. They debuted in 1992 with their first album 'Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde'. They gained popularity with catchy beats and witty flows. Their second album 'Labcabincalifornia' in 1995 produced the hit song "Runnin'" by J Dilla (Jay Dee). In the same year, he produced "Momma" on Kendrick Lamar's album 'To Pimp A Butterfly', which won a Grammy Award for "Best Rap Album". Since then, through collaborations with various artists, he has established himself as one of the leading producers in modern hip-hop. In 2020, he released his second album '1988', further deepening his world with soulful and intricate beats. He also performs as part of the unit NxWorries with Anderson .Paak, following 'Yes Lawd!' in 2016, their 2024 release 'Why Lawd?' won the 2025 Grammy Award for "Best Progressive R&B Album", establishing their global reputation.
