Aiming to be a festival loved by the locals, FUJI & SUN offers a 'Shizuoka Resident Discount'. In addition, we are collaborating with JATCO, a company in the host city of Fuji, high school volunteers in Fuji City, and residents of Fuji City as local staff 'FUJI LOCAL COLLECTIVE' this year, to build the festival together to better bring out the charm of this land. Furthermore, as a special visitor benefit exclusive to Fuji citizens, we plan to distribute 500-yen food and drink vouchers usable at the food booths inside the venue at the special Fuji City booth in the SUN stage. We will deliver a special time unique to 'FUJI & SUN' to people all over the country while deepening our connection with the local Fuji City, so look forward to it!
Timetable and contents for the 'Human-Powered Challenge' to learn from adventure masters also announced!
The 'Human-Powered Challenge Cheering Squad Area' features a variety of unique experiential contents that nurture an adventurous spirit and a sense of challenge! Set in the great nature at the foot of Mt. Fuji, we will hold a variety of programs to learn about living and wisdom in nature. These range from outdoor lectures where you can learn practical uses of trekking poles and hammocks and try a fire-making challenge, to food-focused projects such as emergency food cooking by culinary researcher hanako, the 'World's Best Rice Cooking Summit' where rice cooking masters compete, and authentic chai spice workshops, as well as deep talks by hot spring maniacs. The biggest highlight is the collaboration content directly supervised and instructed by adventure racer Yoki Tanaka and body make trainer Teiichiro Yokote, who participate as FUJI & SUN athletic trainers. For the first-ever 'FUJI & SUN Kids Trail Run Human-Powered Cup', a program exclusively for elementary school students currently recruiting participants, Teiichiro Yokote will directly instruct preliminary exercises and stretches, teaching running tips and how to use the body. Afterwards, they will run through a course with an elevation difference of about 2km, which Yoki Tanaka personally scouted and selected! For adults, high-density programs that go beyond the framework of a music festival, such as an early morning trail running '10km Challenge', will be developed. In addition, we offer programs that anyone can participate in regardless of age or level, including tenugui gymnastics and stretching, structured so that each visitor can experience the joy of moving their body at their own pace. Please find a challenge to face yourself in nature!
Ahead of the festival, official beer release events will be held in Harajuku and Numazu!
Ahead of the festival in June, events to commemorate the release of the official beer have been decided to be held in two locations: Harajuku and Numazu! In Tokyo, it will be held on Saturday, May 16th at 'ANewFace' in Harajuku. In addition to craft beer from BADASS BEER BASE, which produces the official beer, food using gibier will also be provided. 'interval', launched by a former manager of Craftworks known in the craft beer scene, will participate and offer a special collaboration beer. Furthermore, the 'Ikejiri Hiking Club' will deploy items fitting for festivals and outdoor scenes, and 'NINKALIZE' will sell items centered on 80s-00s overseas brewery T-shirts. Through beer and food, this will be a place to experience the culture and atmosphere behind them. In Shizuoka, it will be held on Saturday, May 2nd at 'THE CHAMBER' in Numazu. In addition to beer and food, drink offerings by Numazu Distillery will also be available! Both events will be a great opportunity to get an early taste of the festival's worldview, not only for those planning to attend FUJI & SUN, but also for those considering attending or those who cannot attend on the day.
