Enjoy the Last Summer to the Fullest! 'World Cosplay Summit 2026' Second Announcement: 'JO☆STARS' to Perform at Special Live!

The World Cosplay Summit Executive Committee (Executive Chairman: Tokumaru Oguri) will hold the world's largest cosplay festival, "World Cosplay Summit 2026" (WCS), at various locations in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, from July 31 (Fri) to August 2 (Sun), 2026. We are pleased to announce that the vocal unit "JO☆STARS ~TOMMY, Coda, JIN~," known for singing the opening themes of the TV anime "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure," will perform at the special live concert on the main stage. General ticket sales for cosplay participation and the World Cosplay Championship will begin on June 6 (Sat) at 10:00 AM. This year's theme is "Enjoy the last summer to the fullest." As the event will shift to November starting in 2027, 2026 will be the final year held in midsummer. The "Summer WCS" has been loved by many cosplayers and fans as a seasonal tradition in Nagoya. Let's enjoy this final summer, where we can experience that heat and excitement, to the fullest with friends from around the world. The main event, the "World Cosplay Championship," which determines the world's best cosplay performer, will be held on August 2 (Sun), 2026, at the Aichi Arts Center Main Hall. The first group of guest judges includes voice actor Toshio Furukawa, producer Taro Maki, music producer Tomokazu Tashiro, and the 2025 World Cosplay Championship overall winners from the USA, Heidi and McKayla. The live viewing and special talk show will feature Tomokazu Sugita, JOY Max, and Jacky Dosai. Additionally, a new project, "WCS Market Artist Alley 2026," has been announced, offering a participatory market experience where cosplayers, creators, and fans can "find, buy, support, and take photos." The event will span three days, with venues including Oasis 21, Aichi Arts Center, and Hisaya-odori Park. Participants from 41 countries and regions are expected.
