Workday K.K. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Executive President & Japan Representative: Chikara Furuichi; hereinafter "Workday"), a provider of enterprise AI platforms for HR, finance, and agents, announced today that Yasuyuki Higuchi has been appointed as Executive Advisor, effective April 1, 2026 (Wednesday).
Mr. Higuchi has served as a top executive at companies such as Hewlett-Packard Japan, Daiei Inc., Microsoft Japan, and Panasonic Corporation, and most recently as Representative Director, Executive Officer, President & CEO of Panasonic Connect Co., Ltd. He has led corporate management and business transformation both domestically and internationally for approximately 30 years.
Leveraging the knowledge cultivated through these experiences, he will promote HR modernization in Japanese companies and support the transformation of corporate human resources and organizations from a management and business strategy perspective in an era of advancing AI utilization.
Workday will further support the advancement of human capital and organizational strategies for Japanese companies and strengthen its value proposition in the Japanese market by incorporating Mr. Higuchi's management leadership and practical expertise.
Biography of Yasuyuki Higuchi:
Joined Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. (now Panasonic Holdings Corporation) in 1980. Subsequently, he joined Boston Consulting Group in 1992, gaining management experience at foreign-affiliated companies. In 2003, he was appointed President and Representative Director of Hewlett-Packard Japan, and in 2005, he led the business reconstruction of Daiei Inc. as its President and Representative Director. In 2007, he joined Microsoft Japan, serving as Vice President at the US headquarters and as President and Chairman of the Japanese subsidiary.
He returned to Panasonic Corporation in 2017 and served as Representative Director, Executive Officer, President & CEO of Panasonic Connect Co., Ltd. from April 2022, retiring at the end of March 2026. Currently, he serves as Senior Executive Advisor for the same company and as Representative of Office Higuchi Co., Ltd.
