Wood Design Park Co., Ltd. has launched a new experiential program at its outdoor complex facility, 'Wood Design Park Kyoto -Sai-', located in Kyotanabe City, Kyoto Prefecture. The program allows visitors to enjoy crafting their own original pizzas using a traditional wood-fired pizza oven in a natural outdoor environment.

The experience begins with participants stretching their own pizza dough, then freely selecting sauces and toppings to customize a unique pizza. Once completed, staff will bake the pizza in a wood-fired oven, allowing guests to enjoy it fresh and hot on-site.

Authentic Wood-Fired Pizza-Making Experience

The activity takes place in an open, nature-surrounded outdoor space. Guests start by shaping their dough, then choose from Standard, Premium, or Dessert pizza options, customizing their creations with a variety of toppings.

Using a traditional stone oven fueled by firewood results in a crispy exterior and a soft, chewy interior. Guests can watch the baking process up close and take commemorative photos in front of the stone oven, turning the entire experience into a lasting memory.

A Safe and Enjoyable Outdoor Experience for Children

The program is designed to be safe for young children, as it does not require the use of knives or specialized cooking tools. All necessary equipment—including aprons, gloves, pizza cutters, and take-home pizza boxes—are provided by the facility, allowing guests to participate with ease and without bringing anything.

In addition to the pizza-making experience, the nature-rich facility offers access to play areas and craft workshops, making it an ideal destination for families and groups to spend an entire day enjoying a variety of outdoor activities.

Usage Time and Pricing

The program operates on a reservation-only basis.

Available time slots are 10:00–13:00 and 14:00–17:00, with the experience itself lasting approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour. Baking times may vary depending on oven availability.

Adults: ¥2,000 Elementary School Students: ¥1,000 Ages 3–5: ¥1,000 Ages 0–2: Free

※ The seat fee includes a drink ticket, apron, gloves, pizza cutter, and take-home pizza box.

Standard Pizza: ¥1,500 Premium Pizza: ¥2,000

Dessert Pizza: ¥1,500

※ Each guest must order at least one pizza. ※ Pizza size is approximately 20–25 cm (serves 1–2 people).
