Wood Design Park Okazaki, an outdoor facility in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, will host the 'HOTARU NIGHT 2026' firefly viewing event on Sunday, June 14, 2026, where visitors can enjoy the fantastical light of fireflies on an early summer evening. Every year from early to late June, Genji fireflies can be observed in the Otogawa River flowing through the Wood Design Park Okazaki facility. The Otogawa area in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, is considered the birthplace of the Okazaki Genji firefly, which is a national natural monument. Why not relax by the river and enjoy firefly viewing? During the day, you can enjoy delicious food from food trucks, and workshops for children will also be held. It's an event where you can enjoy a full day through food and experiences while feeling nature.
