JAXA-born Startup WHERE Inc. Surpasses 200 Companies Adopting Real Estate AI Tool 'WHERE'

WHERE Inc. (Headquarters: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Takeo Akutsu; hereinafter "WHERE") is pleased to announce that as of June 2025, the number of companies adopting its real estate AI tool 'WHERE,' which connects landowners with users, has surpassed 200.

This milestone was achieved 1 year and 8 months after the service's launch in September 2024, reaching Product-Market Fit (PMF) in less than two years. WHERE will continue to support industries beyond real estate as a "Deal Tech" company, committed to facilitating transactions.

Adoption Trend

'WHERE' is a service that supports the entire process from real estate discovery to valuation, management, and approach, utilizing satellite data and AI. Since its service launch in September 2024, the number of adopting companies has steadily increased due to continuous feature enhancements, including the instant acquisition of building abstracts and the release of a mobile version, as well as the implementation of a real estate database with approximately 73 million entries.

The number of adopting companies surpassed 50 in September 2025 and 100 in December of the same year. In October 2025, an update enabling the search for sites for solar power generation and power storage facilities was implemented, expanding the application areas from real estate businesses to renewable energy businesses. This accelerated the adoption pace, doubling the number of companies from 100 in December 2025 to 200 in just six months.

Industry Breakdown and Expanding Usage

Among adopting companies, real estate businesses account for approximately 46%, while usage is expanding in diverse industries such as renewable energy, land utilization (parking/storage rentals), and store development. Adoption by companies in the renewable energy sector is particularly on the rise, reflecting the growing need for efficient land acquisition.

Having been involved in the real estate industry for over 20 years, I personally felt the challenges of real estate procurement relying on personal connections and experience, leading to information being siloed. 'WHERE' was born from the desire to solve these issues with technology.

The origin of its development lies in research on "analyzing lunar satellite data with AI" that I encountered at JAXA. By applying this space technology to the Earth's real estate market, we have created a system that discovers new land and building values, as well as transaction opportunities, through satellite data and AI.
