“Tabi Bento Ekiben Nigiwai Shin-Kobe” to Reopen on Wednesday, July 15

JR West Food Service Network Co., Ltd. will reopen its 'Tabi Bento Ekiben Nigiwai Shin-Kobe' store on the 2nd floor of JR Shin-Kobe Station on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.

The store will be upgraded to feature approximately 100 carefully selected ekiben varieties from all over Japan—from Hokkaido in the north to Kagoshima in the south—including popular local favorites like Awajuya's ekiben from Kobe. Embracing the concept of 'every day is an ekiben festival,' the store will transform into a self-service shopping-style space where customers can freely browse and select their ekiben, comparing a wide variety of options at their leisure. Filled with 'bustling energy and excitement,' the store aims to become a memorable part of customers’ travel experiences—one that inspires them to say, 'I want to come back again.'

Located outside the ticket gates at Shin-Kobe Station, the store offers convenient access for both travelers and commuters. We look forward to welcoming you.
