Strengthening Efforts to Prevent Spoofing Email Damage ~JR West Logo to be Displayed on Sent Emails~

To enable customers to receive emails from JR West with greater peace of mind, we are pleased to announce that we will begin sending emails compatible with BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) starting May 13, 2026.

This will allow customers using BIMI-compatible email clients (such as Gmail) to see our company's logo displayed next to the sender's name on emails sent from JR West.

1. Background of BIMI Introduction

In recent years, spoofing emails, such as phishing scams impersonating companies and services, have become a social problem, and their methods are becoming increasingly sophisticated.

In response to this situation, JR West believes it is important to create an environment where customers can easily confirm at a glance that emails from our company are legitimate and receive information with peace of mind. This led to the introduction of BIMI.

This measure will initially apply to emails delivered from the following domains:

・westjr.co.jp

・jr-odekake.net

・Subdomains of the above two domains (to be expanded sequentially)

*Some email services may not be compatible.
