Former SOMPO Health Support President Toru Hiratsuka Appointed CSO at Well-i

Hiratsuka is a seasoned executive who has served as President of SOMPO Health Support Inc. and Hokken Doin Frontier Co., Ltd., possessing broad knowledge and a strong network across corporations, insurers, and government bodies. With this appointment, Well-i aims to further accelerate the creation of results in health management for client companies and data health for insurers.

Background of Appointment

Well-i has expanded its business by leveraging its strengths in consulting and execution support for corporate health management and insurer data health. Toru Hiratsuka Profile

Born in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, in 1966.

Graduated from the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Letters, The University of Tokyo in 1991. Joined Yasuda Fire & Marine Insurance Co., Ltd. (now Sompo Japan Insurance Inc.) in the same year. Engaged in a wide range of duties including accounting, human resources, sales, and corporate planning.

From 2016 onwards, he led the healthcare business within the SOMPO Group. He served as President of SOMPO Health Support Inc., responsible for planning and promoting business strategies in corporate health management support and industrial health.

Subsequently, as President of Hokken Doin Frontier Co., Ltd. and Director of MBK Wellness Co., Ltd., he led business growth and organizational reform in the same domain.

Possesses deep knowledge of businesses for corporations and insurers, and management experience in consistently driving business strategy from planning to execution.
