Our company endorses April Dream, an initiative to make April 1st a day for sharing dreams.

M-DUB Co., Ltd., an Osaka-based web production company (Headquarters: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture; Representative Director: Shoma Morioka), announces its dream to realize a society by April 1, 2026, where all working individuals can transform their unique personalities into "contributions to the organization" and work with abundant self-esteem.

We pledge to update "work" across Japan, starting with small and medium-sized enterprises, by using our company-wide "Strength Finder" initiative and unique "Route Map Coaching" as a model case.

From a place of "hiding weaknesses" to a place of "leveraging strengths"

From a place of "hiding weaknesses" to a place of "leveraging strengths"

In Japanese education and society until now, a great deal of time and effort has often been devoted to "overcoming weaknesses."

However, our dream is to create a society where it is natural for everyone to openly disclose their areas of expertise and to be able to receive help from others for things they are not good at – a society of "mutual complementarity."

Instead of viewing an individual as mere "labor," we aim to respect each person as a precious "living entity" and create an environment where their unique qualities can be maximized. We intend to first demonstrate such a "society where each life shines" within our small organization, M-DUB, and then expand it throughout Japan.

Steps to bring the dream to fruition

Steps to bring the dream to fruition

We will not let this dream remain a mere ideal. We will make our internally established "Human Capital Management Model" public and deepen the following initiatives:

  1. Visualization of Strengths: All employees will continue our unique coaching that identifies their talents and maps out how to utilize them in their work as a "route map."

  2. Highly Transparent Communication: We will actively disclose our human capital strategy on our sustainability page, continuously communicating that "strength-based management" is possible even for small and medium-sized enterprises with limited resources.

  3. Pursuit of Well-being: Building upon physical and mental health and flexible working styles, we will expand an environment (safe zone) where everyone can confidently exercise their strengths.

Representative Director Shoma Morioka's thoughts on the "dream"

Actually, there was a period several years ago when we were working on talent identification within the company, but at that time, its application was limited to individual self-focus.

Then, in 2023, an event occurred that made me think, "A company is a single living entity," and from there, I strongly began to believe that we should enable everyone to leverage each other's strengths.

The first change after introducing this "Route Map Coaching" was that employees started to "disclose their areas of weakness without hiding them."

Normally, these are areas one would want to conceal, but the fact that each individual began to feel, "It's okay to talk about this within the company," and "It's okay to ask someone for help," felt like a significant achievement.

Furthermore, the number of people joining the company who resonate with this philosophy has increased, and I feel that the organizational image of "What is M-DUB?" is gradually coming together.

I feel that Japanese education dedicates an enormous amount of time and effort to overcoming weaknesses.

However, I believe that if everyone can increasingly demonstrate their inherent strengths, they will become more vibrant and happier.

I don't think it's enough for just M-DUB to be good.

I believe that if what we have achieved can be useful to many people, we can contribute to "creating a society where each life shines."
