The Japanese Standards Association (JSA) Group (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Hiroshi Asahi) will host a free seminar introducing effective utilization methods of the Quality Control Certification (QC Certification), an examination that objectively measures knowledge levels in quality management.
Quality issues and misconduct continue to emerge unexpectedly. The best defense against such problems is a deeply rooted quality culture within the organization—a shared environment where all employees work together toward continuous improvement in quality.
Notably, the upcoming revised version of ISO9001 is expected to newly include a requirement for top management to promote quality culture and ethical behavior. Fostering such a culture cannot be achieved through policy and goal setting alone; it requires ongoing quality education to establish shared awareness of the importance of quality, quality-first values, and behavioral standards.
The QC Certification is an examination that verifies knowledge in quality management and quality assurance, with levels from 1 to 4, all of which are open for examination. In particular, Level 4 can be used as part of company-wide quality education and contributes to cultivating a quality culture. Level 3 verifies knowledge necessary for improvement activities and helps strengthen on-site capabilities.
This seminar will present case studies from companies using the QC Certification, along with key points for implementation and effective utilization. We will also share practical tips and real-world examples on how to apply the knowledge gained through the certification in daily operations.
Starting from the 40th administration, Levels 3 and 4 of the QC Certification have been offered via CBT (Computer-Based Testing), with examination windows available for approximately three months, allowing participants to plan their exams according to their schedules. We hope the QC Certification will serve as a valuable tool for enhancing company-wide quality education and strengthening on-site capabilities.
