■ The Advent of the "Year-End Decision" Era and the Challenge of Balancing Regular Tests and Eiken®

According to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's "Survey on the Implementation Status of National, Public, and Private University and Junior College Entrant Selection" (FY2025), 53.6% of university entrants finalized their admissions through comprehensive selection or school recommendation-based selection.

University entrance examinations are increasingly becoming a "year-end decision" norm, with high school grades (evaluations) and external English proficiency test scores significantly influencing admission.

In fact, 478 universities (63% of the total) utilize external English proficiency tests for admissions, and Eiken® accounts for 91.6% of the tests used by applicants (Obunsha Educational Information Center, FY2025).

On the other hand, integrated junior and senior high schools often have a fast-paced curriculum and a large amount of homework, leading many parents to worry that their children "don't study much at home" or "don't improve their regular test scores."

In this seminar, as a specialized tutoring school with a track record of guiding over 15,000 integrated junior and senior high school students, we will share concrete strategies for achieving admission to desired universities by balancing regular test preparation and Eiken® acquisition.

■ A Two-Part Seminar Covering "Regular Tests," "Eiken®," and "Entrance Exam Strategy"

◆ Part 1: Regular Test Preparation by a Specialized Tutoring School (10:20 AM - 10:50 AM)

Target: Parents of junior high 1st year to high school 1st year students

This session explains how to overcome the limitations of home study through a "scientific approach" and "thorough study management." We will introduce study methods utilizing "work excitement" based on neuroscience, rather than waiting for natural motivation. We will also share practical methods unique to specialized tutoring schools, such as "school material tracking rate" and "confirmation test pass rate," which WAYS emphasizes as indicators of academic improvement. Furthermore, we will introduce initiatives that foster non-cognitive skills such as "the ability to complete what you've decided" and "self-management skills" through weekly vocabulary tests.

◆ Part 2: Desired Career Strategy (11:05 AM - 11:35 AM)

Target: Parents of junior high 3rd year to high school 1st year students

This session explains concrete strategies for achieving desired career paths, whether through internal advancement or external university entrance exams. It will provide information on the latest admission trends, which differ significantly from the parent generation's experience, and specifically present target acquisition periods and levels for Eiken®, a powerful tool for university entrance and internal advancement. We will also cover common pitfalls in humanities/science selection and strategies for navigating different career paths, making it clear "what to do now."

*Although Part 2 is designed for "junior high 3rd year to high school 1st year students," parents of junior high 1st and 2nd year students are also welcome to participate.
