Born in Chiba Prefecture in 1947.
Graduated from the Department of Art, Wako University in 1970. Studied under Taro Ogi and Hiroshi Nakane.
In 2001, became a visiting researcher abroad under the sponsorship of the Agency for Cultural Affairs, Japan, and conducted research at the Art Students League of New York.
Started "Watercolor by Shibasaki" on YouTube in 2017.
Achieved 1 million channel subscribers in 2022.
Co-developed "Art Crayons" with Pentel Co., Ltd. in 2023.
