Watami Organic Land Co., Ltd. (Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture; hereinafter 'Watami Organic Land'), a subsidiary of Watami Co., Ltd. (Ota-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter 'Watami'), participated in the 'Kizuna no Hi' commemorative exchange event held in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, on March 20th.
'Kizuna no Hi' (Bond Day) is designated as March 23rd, the day Nagoya City began sending staff to Rikuzentakata City following the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, and various events are held annually. This event aims to promote the friendly relationship between the two cities, allow Nagoya citizens to experience the charm of Rikuzentakata City, and improve disaster prevention awareness.

Watami Organic Land will continue to actively participate in events inside and outside the city to promote the charm of Rikuzentakata City and Iwate Prefecture. We will continue to contribute to the reconstruction of disaster-stricken areas and regional revitalization.
[About the agricultural theme park 'Rikuzentakata Watami Organic Land'] 'Rikuzentakata Watami Organic Land' is an agricultural theme park themed on an organic and circular society, which opened on April 29, 2021, in Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture. In cooperation with Rikuzentakata City, we plan to increase various facilities over the next 20 years on a vast site of approximately 23 hectares (equivalent to five Tokyo Domes), including farms, ranches, an outdoor concert hall, and power generation facilities. By producing agricultural products, creating processed goods based on them, and handling sales, we are embodying the circular 6th-sector industrial model using renewable energy promoted by the Watami Group.
