Watami Energy Begins Power Supply in Shikoku Electric Power Area: Nationwide Coverage (Excluding Okinawa) Achieved to Accelerate RE100 Initiatives

Watami Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "the Company"), a subsidiary of Watami Co., Ltd. (Ota-ku, Tokyo), began supplying electricity in the Shikoku Electric Power area on March 1, 2026. This expansion enables the Company to provide power across the entire country, excluding the Okinawa Electric Power area, further strengthening its supply infrastructure.

■ Significance of Launching Supply in the Shikoku Area

Previously, the Company provided electricity nationwide, excluding the Okinawa and Shikoku Electric Power areas. With this launch in the Shikoku area, the Company can now provide renewable energy-derived electricity across the entire country, excluding Okinawa. This allows the Company to offer consistent renewable energy introduction proposals to businesses with locations nationwide, spanning multiple service areas.

■ Building a Power Supply System to Support RE100 Promotion

In recent years, as international demand for renewable energy usage—such as RE100—has grown, the ability to "introduce renewable energy under the same conditions anywhere in the country" has become a critical factor for businesses. With this expansion, the Company has established a system to support corporate RE100 achievement and decarbonization management more effectively. Furthermore, it facilitates the introduction of renewable energy to Watami Group facilities nationwide, further advancing the Group's own RE100 goals.
