From Friday, May 1, 2026, Kitakyushu City's "University Support Project Utilizing Corporate Hometown Tax Donation" has commenced.
The Corporate Hometown Tax Donation system allows companies to receive tax deductions from corporate-related taxes when they make donations to local government regional revitalization projects certified by the national government. This mechanism reduces the burden on donating companies to approximately 10%.

Introduction to Waseda University Graduate School of Information, Production and Systems (Kitakyushu Campus)
Dean Masao Arakawa
IPS was established in 2003 in Kitakyushu Academic Research City as a graduate school without an undergraduate faculty, serving as Waseda University's base for Asian expansion. Kitakyushu City is one of Japan's leading industrial cities, with a concentration of industries such as automotive, semiconductors, materials, and parts. IPS has been responsible for education and research linked to these regional characteristics.
IPS has established three fields: "Information Architecture," "Production Systems," and "Integrated Systems," promoting the development of highly specialized human resources and advanced research directly linked to solving challenges in industry and society.
Support for our university will lead to the strengthening of the educational foundation for nurturing next-generation science and engineering talent, and will also promote the sustainable development of regional industries and society. Furthermore, in these rapidly changing times, we anticipate ripple effects on the industries and society that our supporters are involved in, through research results and human resource development that respond quickly. We would be grateful if you would join us in supporting IPS's initiatives and participating in the development of education and research that opens up the future.
