The Anisong DJ event "Anifre," supported by the social business community "Waccel" (Location: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Organizer: Yoshihiro Shimamura; General Producer: Tomohiro Sumiya), held a commemorative event on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 13:30 to 19:30 (close 20:30) to mark the start of its second year, which was filled with enthusiasm.
At this event, Kevin Mitsunaga of the artist group fhána was invited as a special guest, and the venue became a great success with everyone participating as one.
Background and Purpose of Anifre's Hosting
"We want to create a place where people can be honest about what they 'like' and fully express their passions." Anifre started with this desire.
Anifre is a place for "people who usually can't show their otaku side" and "people who want to openly express their passions." Anime, games, idols, VTubers... anything you like is fine. "The feeling of 'liking' something is cool."
Here, no one needs to hold back. With a little help from alcohol, the goal is to create a space where suppressed enthusiasm and sealed-away stories can all be unleashed.
The First Event of the Second Year! Overview and Unique Excitement (Achievements)
To kick off the second year, Kevin Mitsunaga of fhána was invited as a special guest. During the DJ play highlight, all participants at the venue danced together to fhána's signature hit song 'Aozora no Rhapsody,' enveloping Anifre in an overwhelming sense of unity and excitement unique to the event.
Absolutely Enjoyable for Beginners! 3 "Commitment Points" and New Projects
Since many customers attending Anifre are "first-timers at an Anisong event," the following new initiatives were introduced to ensure everyone can immediately enjoy themselves:
1. Introduction of a "Welcome Drink" limited to first-time participants
To give first-time visitors an initial opportunity to enjoy Anifre, we started offering a "Welcome Drink" for one complimentary toast. This made it easier for participants to communicate with each other and with staff.
2. New project "Oshiete Steel-sensei" (Teach Me Steel-sensei) for everyone to dance!
For those who "don't know how to enjoy themselves for the first time," we launched a lecture project called "Oshiete Steel-sensei" where they can learn at least one way to enjoy the event and take it home. This time, everyone at the venue danced to M!LK's 'Sukisugite Metsu!', making it a time filled with smiles for both beginners and regulars. This project will be expanded through official SNS in the future.
3. Transition to a reservation system from the official website with a request function
The participation reservation system, previously handled by "TwiPla," has been updated and moved to direct reservations from the official website.
A key feature is the implementation of a function that allows participants to enter "song requests they want to hear at the event" when making a reservation. This is a commitment to creating a space that directly reflects customers' "likes" and offers a higher level of satisfaction.
Future Developments
Anifre, now in its second year, will further strengthen its social media outreach. In addition to photo-centric reports, we plan to actively deliver video content showcasing the real energy and fun of the venue, as well as the new "Oshiete Steel-sensei" project.
