Universal Home, in collaboration with the social business community "Waccel" (located in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, organized by Yoshihiro Shimamura, General Producer: Tomohiro Sumitani), participated as volunteer staff and exhibited a special booth at the "Hattatsu Dekoboko-san Festa 2026 in Sagamihara," held in Sagamihara City on April 2, 2026, coinciding with "World Autism Awareness Day." This activity is part of the company's initiative to "build homes that support children's development." Prior to the event, staff visited two specialized developmental support facilities for discussions and launched the "BLUE HOME PROJECT," coloring their nationwide offices with the symbol color for autism awareness. We report on our ongoing efforts to provide living environment proposals rooted in real-world feedback, moving beyond mere event sponsorship.
### [Community Action] Volunteer Participation and Booth Exhibition at "Hattatsu Dekoboko-san Festa 2026"
Twenty of our staff members participated as operational volunteers and special booth exhibition staff at the event held at Unicom Plaza Sagamihara. At our special booth, we directly heard about housing challenges and needs in daily life from children with developmental characteristics residing in the region and their families through dialogue. It was a valuable opportunity to reaffirm warm connections that embrace diversity as a member of the local community.

### [Internal Action] Implementation of "BLUE HOME PROJECT" to show solidarity
In endorsement with the spirit of World Autism Awareness Day, we implemented the "BLUE HOME PROJECT" at our headquarters and model houses nationwide. Staff wore "blue" items, the symbol color, and decorated offices with blue ornaments and posters, visually expressing their solidarity. This initiative aimed to create an opportunity for customers to consider "developmental diversity and individual uniqueness" together.
### [Deepening Knowledge] Visiting specialized facilities and feedback for home building
To deepen our knowledge of creating living environments that consider specific characteristics, we visited the following two facilities. In addition to exchanging opinions with professionals working on-site, we observed ingenuity in space design and material selection in actual support settings, as well as the atmosphere of after-school day services.
- CarriCac Inc. Myogadani Office / Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo
- [Type B Employment Support Service]
- Through discussions with staff, we learned about the importance of meticulous consideration for supporting independence and designing comfortable workspaces.
- The knowledge gained here provided significant feedback for our pursuit of "homes that support independence" with a view to the future.
- Hino Atarubasho Shimizugaoka Branch / Fuchu City, Tokyo
- [After-School Day Service]
- We visited a place where children are present, observed the facilities, and interacted with them, directly experiencing the atmosphere of the site.
- Observing children's daily lives up close, including discussions with staff, provided an opportunity to deeply reconsider our connection with the local community and the role that housing manufacturers should play.
### Future Outlook
Universal Home will reflect the on-site feedback gained from these activities in future housing proposals (such as installing calm-down spaces and improving traffic flow). Moving forward, we will continue to contribute to realizing a society where everyone can live authentically and securely, through building homes where all family members can feel "happiness."
