WOW Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Hiroshi Takahashi; hereinafter "WOW") will participate in a special exhibition "Link of Moments x Link of Existence" realized through a collaboration with "Anteprima" and the design brand "130 (One Thirty)" at "Milan Design Week (Fuorisalone)" held in Milan, Italy from Monday, April 20 to Sunday, April 26, 2026. We will exhibit "Link of Moments," an installation artwork that uses light and video to encounter fragments of memories dormant at the bottom of consciousness.

Milan Design Week (Fuorisalone) is held concurrently with the prestigious international furniture fair, Salone del Mobile.Milano, bringing together companies and creators who exhibit innovative installations and new products. This vibrant period transforms the city into a hub of creativity, where designers from around the world exchange ideas, present their latest works, and foster important interactions within the industry. This exhibition is realized in resonance with the creative activities of WOW and 130 by Anteprima, a brand where Izumi Ogino, who has long supported artists and designers and provided a platform to present their creations, serves as the creative director. It will be held at the Anteprima Showroom in Milan.

This will be WOW's first time exhibiting an original installation artwork at Milan Design Week since NEOREAL WONDER "Circle of Light" in 2011. That work received high praise, winning the Grand Prix of the Elita Design Award, the audience award. And this year, WOW will once again stand on the stage of Milan Design Week. In this exhibition as well, we aim to create a space that shares experiences with many visitors and generates new creative dialogues.

Overview of "Link of Moments x Link of Existence"

Countless moments born in daily life accumulate as memories and form the outline of our existence. In this exhibition, through two works, we will attempt to show the moments when fragments of memories arise and the traces of existence manifest, and how they are woven into the inner self of the individual, in the setting of Milan Design Week.

Exhibition Artwork "Link of Moments" by WOW

An installation artwork that uses light and video to encounter fragments of memories dormant at the bottom of consciousness. Our consciousness is constantly moving back and forth between the external world and the inner self. In this work, light exists as a device that anchors consciousness to the external world, while video exists as a medium that evokes memories and emotions. At the brief moment when the light disappears, a video appears like a revolving lantern, drawing the viewer's consciousness inward. The alternating interaction of light and video creates a momentary experience of traveling back and forth between the external world and the inner self.

The projected video is a universal landscape belonging to no one, re-edited by AI from a vast amount of data of human memories. However, that anonymous landscape becomes a trigger connected to the memories and emotions of each viewer. In the space between light and video, while blurring the boundaries between the external world and the inner self, self and other, AI and human, it manifests the continuum of human elements such as life, memories, and emotions. Through this work, we attempt to create a space to experience a collage of scenes woven by fragments of memories.

Exhibition Artwork "Link of Existence" by 130

An attempt to retain the "traces of existence," which are often overlooked in daily life, within a transparent form. A chair is originally a tool for the body, but at the same time, it is also a medium that records that the body "was there." In this work, the black density rising from the seat surface coagulates like an afterimage of body temperature, weight, and time spent, and dissolves into transparency downwards. What is there is not a figure of a person, but a "shadow" of existence oozing into the space, an outline remaining in absence. The light-transmitting structure changes its density and depth depending on the viewing angle, recalling the presence that "someone was there just a moment ago" to the viewer's physical sensation. Just as moments accumulate as memories, the contact of the body is woven into the space as a trace, and rises as a continuum of existence.

About 130 (One Thirty)

130 is a design brand developed by MagnaRecta Inc. We create furniture, lighting, structures for interiors, and installations through a unique modeling approach of building lines like "architecting" a single frame (line) to create three-dimensional objects in space. Even though it is a rigid structure, light, air, and blank space pass through it—treating that "openness" itself as a design, presenting products made of lines rather than surfaces or masses. What 130 emphasizes is not fixing the shape as a finished product. Even if partially damaged, it is repaired like Kintsugi, and after fulfilling its role, it is dismantled and connected to re-materialization. We design a chain of value that includes everything from production to renewal and circulation. The material is basically selected on the premise of circulation, such as single-system resin, and expresses the beauty that transforms over time while affirming repair and renewal. 130 stands between technology and craftsmanship, and by re-weaving structure and poetics simultaneously, explores the next circular modeling culture.
