E11 Takamatsu Expressway 'Kanonji Smart Interchange' to Open on Saturday, July 4, 2026

Kanonji City and NEXCO West Japan Shikoku Branch announce that the Kanonji Smart Interchange (Smart IC), which has been under development on the E11 Takamatsu Expressway, will open on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

1. Opening Date and Time
Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 3:00 PM

2. Overview of the Smart IC
The Kanonji Smart IC will be the closest interchange to the central urban area of Kanonji City. By improving access to the expressway, it is expected to support corporate activities from a logistics perspective, as well as significantly contribute to promoting further exchange and tourism within the Seisan region.
Location: Connected to the main line of the Takamatsu Expressway between the Sanuki-Toyonaka IC and the Onohara IC.
Address: Kanonji City, Kagawa Prefecture
Eligible Vehicles: All vehicles equipped with an ETC onboard device
Operating Hours: 24 hours
Usage Type: Full interchange type with a temporary stop (usable as both entrance and exit for both up and down lines)

April 24, 2025: Announcement of the name 'Kanonji Smart IC'

5. Usage Precautions
This is an ETC-only interchange. Please ensure your ETC card is inserted into the onboard device before passing.
If a vehicle not equipped with an ETC device mistakenly enters the Smart IC, it can reverse out.
The ETC gate barrier will only open when the vehicle has come to a complete stop. Please make a 'temporary stop' and proceed only after the barrier opens.
This interchange is managed from the nearby 'Sanuki-Toyonaka IC' and no staff are stationed here. If you have any questions, please use the intercom installed at the ETC gate. Staff will assist you.
