[Industry-Academia Collaboration] Project with Yamada SA and Ukiha Kyushinkan High School Returns This Year!

In an effort to promote regional charm, high school students are developing recipes using local ingredients to be sold at the E34 Oita Expressway Yamada Service Area (both outbound and inbound lanes). This project is returning for another year.

■ Objectives
- To promote local production and consumption and help disseminate regional charm through industry-academia collaboration (menu creation and sales) utilizing local ingredients.
- To encourage high school students to think about their region through food by developing recipes using local ingredients.

■ Details
- Sales Location: E34 Oita Expressway Yamada Service Area (outbound/inbound)
Operators: Outbound - Fugetsu Foods Co., Ltd., Inbound - West Nippon Expressway Service Holdings Co., Ltd.
- Sales Area: Food Court
- Sales Period: Scheduled from Saturday, November 21, 2026, to the end of March 2027.
- Development Theme: 'Winter menus using ingredients and specialties from Fukuoka Prefecture.'

■ Schedule
(1) Recruitment: Starts Monday, June 1, 2026.
(2) Recipe Creation: June 1, 2026, to Friday, July 24, 2026.
(3) Document Screening: Starts Saturday, August 1, 2026.
(4) Presentation Screening: One day between mid- and late September 2026.
(5) Tasting/Opinion Exchange Meeting: Around late September 2026.
(6) Awards Ceremony/Tasting Session: One day between late October and early November 2026.
(7) New Menu Sales: Saturday, November 21, 2026, to the end of March 2027 (tentative).

About Ukiha Kyushinkan High School
Located in Ukiha City, Fukuoka Prefecture, it is the only prefectural high school in the city. While it is a general course high school, it offers specialized courses such as Information Management and Living Environment. The school actively engages in product development with local industries, and this is the second time they are developing a collaboration menu with Yamada SA.
