VOLLMONT Holdings Inc. (Address: Ome City, Tokyo; Representative Director: Takeharu Mochizuki; hereinafter referred to as VOLLMONT) has announced the advanced version of its "Comune+® model-S 2.0 advance" (hereinafter referred to as "Comune+® model-S 2.0 advance"), an automated vehicle guidance system for one-way alternating traffic*2 within its "Traffic Control and Security" business*1. They also showcased the humanoid robot "Comune+® Walker" (hereinafter referred to as "Comune+® Walker"), which replicates the actions of human traffic controllers. These were demonstrated at the VOLLMONT exhibition booth during "SECURITY SHOW 2026" held from March 3rd (Tue) to March 6th (Fri), 2026, at Tokyo Big Sight (Booth Number: East Hall 7 / SS7006).

At the exhibition booth, the compact system-equipped dedicated vehicle "Comune+® mini" (hereinafter referred to as "Comune+® mini"), along with the smooth movements of "Comune+® Walker" capable of performing traffic control like humans, attracted significant interest from industry professionals and many attendees. Additionally, visitors experienced systems contributing to on-site safety and security, such as the "Comprehensive Construction Site Monitoring System 25," which utilizes human presence sensors and communication technology to protect the safety of construction sites and passersby, deepening their understanding of traffic control and security sites.

*1) Traffic Control and Security: Security services provided by private security companies, as stipulated in Article 2, Item 2 of the Security Services Act. Along with "Crowd Control Security" which aims to prevent accidents in urban areas and at large-scale events, it is also referred to as Type 2 Security. Traffic control and security primarily involves accident prevention at road construction, building construction, highways, and commercial facilities, with the main tasks being guiding vehicles and pedestrians at each site. Pedestrian guides direct pedestrians in areas where traffic is obstructed or where construction sites or events block sidewalks or roadways.

*2) One-way Alternating Traffic: In road construction, etc., vehicles from both directions are allowed to pass through a single lane. Among traffic control and security, this is the most difficult and poses a high risk of accidents for both guides and vehicles.

■ Advanced Version of the One-way Alternating Traffic Guidance System "Comune+®model-S 2.0 advance"

"Comune+® model-S 2.0 advance" is an advanced version developed based on "Comune+® model-S 2.0"*3, which was created by systemizing the skills of our experienced traffic controllers to automate vehicle guidance at road construction sites. It has undergone continuous functional improvements through field tests at traffic control sites and traffic simulations.

"Comune+® model-S 2.0 advance" is equipped with proprietary control functions, including the automatic setup function. This automatic setup function allows for simple guidance by switching between "Go/Stop" at fixed intervals during setup, significantly reducing the time required from system startup to the initiation of signal-based guidance compared to previous models.

*3): "Comune+® model-S" was developed in December 2022 as a robot designed to automate vehicle guidance at road construction sites by systemizing the skills of our experienced controllers.

【System Configuration】

The one-way alternating traffic guidance system consists of the following functions.

● Features of "Comune+® model-S 2.0 advance"

1) Collaboration with "Comune+® Walker," an advanced humanoid robot for traffic control and security.

2) Emits "Go" and "Stop" audio prompts corresponding to the guidance actions of the autonomously moving "Comune+® Walker."

3) Utilizes image processing functions via traffic guidance cameras, combining cameras and guidance algorithms, to detect vehicles around the construction zone and make "Go/Stop" decisions based on surrounding traffic conditions and signal status.

4) Guidance possible during system setup, reducing time to start guidance by approximately 20%.

Improved to allow guidance even during setup, enabling simple "Go/Stop" switching at fixed intervals. This reduces the time required from system startup to the initiation of signal-based guidance by approximately 20%*4.

*4): System processing time, preparation time, and power consumption reduction rates are based on investigations from post-development field tests.

5) Significant reduction in on-site transportation and setup time due to miniaturization of the system-equipped vehicle.

The system-equipped vehicle "Comune+® mini" has been reduced to about two-thirds of its previous size, enabling installation at both ends of construction zones and in areas where installation was previously difficult. The system can be activated immediately upon arrival.

6) Data analysis and information sharing across multiple devices.

・Equipped with a recording function, allowing real-time saving of on-site video footage to a cloud system.

・Performs verification of issues that occurred during system operation and data analysis through the accumulation of video data.

・Video footage is accessible from all devices connected to the cloud.

● Three modes added to suit site needs:

・Mountain Mode: Enables traffic control in mountainous areas where passage through construction zones takes time. During the day, it provides guidance that does not require coordination with human guides, and at night, it switches to fixed-time guidance.

・Guide Coordination Mode: The guidance system and human guides coordinate to provide guidance. This allows a single guide to manage traffic in situations where traditional guidance systems would struggle, such as at intersections requiring manual traffic control.

・Night Mode: Provides specialized guidance for nighttime construction sites, using night-vision cameras (under development).

■ Dedicated Vehicle Equipped with One-way Alternating Traffic Guidance System "Comune+®mini"

"Comune+® mini" is a "mobile one-way alternating traffic guidance system" where the "Comune+® model-S 2.0 advance" one-way alternating traffic guidance system, developed to automate vehicle guidance at road construction sites by systemizing the skills of our experienced traffic controllers, is mounted on a dedicated vehicle.

■ Experience the "Comprehensive Construction Site Monitoring System 25" Enhancing Convenience and Safety of Pedestrian Guidance at Construction Sites

The "Comprehensive Construction Site Monitoring System 25," which further enhances the safety of pedestrian guidance at construction sites, was also demonstrated. This system utilizes AI-equipped IoT devices incorporating AI, sensors, and communication functions to support pedestrian guidance and traffic control measures such as vehicle traffic stops.

● Main Features:

1) Variable control of balloon length up to 150 cm to match the width of the guidance path.

2) Prevents children from crawling under by adjusting the balloon height to 90 cm from the ground.

3) Improved safety through automatic voice alerts and flashing patrol lights synchronized with balloon extension and retraction.

4) Newly introduced "Automatic Mode" with image recognition that automatically extends and retracts balloons when people approach the guidance path. This allows one guide to control traffic at two entrances/exits, improving operational efficiency.

5) Remote operation from an office or vehicle using "Automatic Mode" and "LTE communication." This can substitute for rest personnel at multiple sites, improving guide efficiency, promoting work style reform, and preventing heatstroke.

6) Promotes departure from the guidance path by default with automatic voice alerts when the balloon is extended, contributing to the safety of pedestrians and cyclists around construction sites.

7) Improves safety by managing alternating traffic for pedestrians on narrow guidance paths through a 3-stage opening/closing function of the balloon ("Full Extension," "Half Open," "Full Open") and synchronized voice instructions and LED displays with the extension status.

6) Easy assembly/disassembly and relocation in a short time due to a divisible system structure.
