Visual Bank Inc. (Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Masayuki Nagai; hereinafter "Visual Bank") announces that it will collaborate with Mynet Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Minoru Iwaki; hereinafter "Mynet") on a demonstration concerning the utilization of IP data, as part of the "GENIAC (Generative AI Accelerator Challenge)" project, which aims to strengthen domestic generative AI development capabilities and is promoted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and NEDO (New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization).

**Background and Purpose of the Demonstration Collaboration**

Currently, the field of AI development faces challenges such as a shortage of high-quality data necessary for development and difficulty in collecting data due to lack of access to rights holders who possess the data. Particularly in the IP (intellectual property) industry, including manga, anime, and games, there is a deep disconnect between IP data holders and AI developers, leading to stagnation in data supply and demand. Furthermore, unauthorized learning and output without permission from IP data holders are rampant, necessitating an environment for fair transactions free from rights infringement. To promote the practical application of AI, a mechanism that balances securing high-quality data with protecting creators' rights is indispensable.

In this demonstration project, "AI Practical Data Ecosystem for the IP Industry," Visual Bank will lead system development and infrastructure establishment, while Mynet will provide its data assets as an "IP data rights holder," focusing on "non-enjoyment purposes" such as information analysis, under a strict management and operation system that prioritizes copyright protection. By combining the strengths of both companies, the aim is to build a highly practical data distribution model for AI development with clear rights relationships.

**Key Initiatives in This Project**

Based on Mynet's cooperation, the following three demonstration themes will be promoted:

* **Development of Basic Datasets for the IP Industry**
Utilizing data assets provided by Mynet, basic datasets for fine-tuning and development for the IP industry will be prepared.

* **Construction of a Data Library System Specialized for the IP Industry and Establishment of Social Infrastructure**
A data library system will be built as a hub for data collection, management, provision, and expansion. Strict rules, including terms of use and security regulations, will be formulated to create an environment where rights holders can confidently entrust their data.

* **Creation of Exemplary Generative Use Cases**
Through verification using Mynet's data, model cases for sound AI utilization that do not infringe on specific intellectual property rights will be created.

**Overview of the Demonstration Project "AI Practical Data Ecosystem for the IP Industry"**

This project, led by Visual Bank, aims to establish social infrastructure for IP industry-specific data utilization.

**Demonstration Themes**

* Development of basic datasets for fine-tuning and development for the IP industry.
* Construction of a data library system specialized for the IP industry and establishment of social infrastructure related to data utilization.
* Creation of exemplary generative use cases while demonstrating the effectiveness of the data library system.
