Launching Japanese Series Drama Projects Globally: Call for Applications Briefing Session for the Second Round of the International Pitching Support Program 'Japan Drama First Look: Co-Pro Pitch' Targeting Taiwan's TCCF

The Japan Visual Industry Promotion Organization (VIPO), a nonprofit organization (President: Takayuki Matsutani, Chuo City, Tokyo), has launched the international pitching support program for Japanese series drama projects, 'Japan Drama First Look: Co-Pro Pitch,' in May. This initiative is part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' FY2026 project, 'Survey on Diversifying Funding for Live-Action Content,' aiming to promote international co-productions with overseas broadcasters and streaming platforms and diversify funding sources for production.

The program provides opportunities for Japanese series drama projects to pitch at three major international content markets representing Asia and Europe: 'BCWW (Korea),' 'TCCF (Taiwan),' and 'Series Mania (France),' along with dedicated training to prepare participants.

Accordingly, an online briefing session will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 13:00, for the second round of the program targeting 'TCCF (Taiwan Creative Content Fest)' in Taipei, Taiwan, scheduled for November 6–9, 2026.

Producers and directors from domestic production companies and broadcasters interested in international co-production of series dramas are encouraged to participate.
