International Script Mentorship Announces Selected Participating Teams

The organizers have announced the selected teams for the International Script Mentorship, a program offering feedback from script consultants with experience mentoring at international script labs and workshops. The program is aimed at producers, directors, and screenwriters developing film projects in Japan. Selected teams and projects will be matched with script consultants who have experience at international script labs and workshops. After the matching is completed, Film Nexus – PRO will support early-stage feedback sessions to strengthen the scripts and help create films with competitiveness in both domestic and international markets. The mentors include Miguel Machalski, an Argentine screenwriter, script consultant, and coach with 30 years of experience in the international film industry, and Razvan Radulescu, a screenwriter and dramaturgy tutor who has worked on major Romanian and European films and has been invited to numerous script labs. The three selected projects are: We don’t say I love you, mentored by Miguel Machalski, with director Yukihiro Morigaki, screenwriter Yugo Suzuki, and producer Kanako Fujita; Tomare Kaku Are, mentored by Miguel Machalski, with director-screenwriter Atsuhiro Yamada and producer Kaori Sakano; and HOLD, mentored by Razvan Radulescu, with director-screenwriter Ayako Fujitani and producer Harue Miyake. The organizers stated that the three selected teams will draw out the full potential of their projects through dialogue with overseas consultants and bring them to the global market. The initiative aims to serve as a strong bridge connecting Japanese talent to the international stage.
