Smile Project Co., Ltd. (Gotanda, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo), which operates over 70 authorized nurseries nationwide and six prep schools (premium unauthorized nurseries) in Tokyo, including Azabudai Hills, will open "Villa Mom," Tokyo's first dedicated postpartum care hotel managed by a childcare provider, in Ariake, Koto-ku, Tokyo, on Friday, June 22, 2026.

Villa Mom offers seven services to ensure that postpartum mothers are "not left to struggle alone" with their postpartum care.

1. Based on the safety management system cultivated in the childcare business, midwives and childcare workers are on duty 24 hours a day.

2. Achieving high-hospitality care at a dedicated postpartum care hotel.

3. Not only midwives but also childcare workers are always present, providing extensive childcare consultations and lifestyle advice.

4. Mindfulness supports emotional care for postpartum depression and loneliness.

5. Five recovery meals a day prepared by a Michelin chef.

6. Family stay design allowing partners and children to accompany.

7. System for prompt medical collaboration & beauty and health support.

Villa Mom is not a conversion of a general accommodation or medical facility, but a dedicated hotel designed from the outset "for postpartum care." The design philosophy, from flow lines, lighting, sound environment, to temperature control, is consistently mindful of the postpartum body and mind.

Guest rooms are designed with "rest" as the top priority. Simmons beds that are gentle on the postpartum body, layouts that facilitate breastfeeding and holding, and lighting designs that gently regulate the often-disrupted postpartum body clock are all carefully considered.

After graduating from high school, at the age of 20, he joined a two-Michelin-starred French restaurant in Ginza, gaining experience from the basics and eventually being entrusted with the sauce section. He then moved to France, honing his skills at bistros in Paris, a two-starred restaurant in Marseille, and starred restaurants in Bordeaux and Strasbourg. After returning to Japan, he continued his training at restaurants in Tokyo, working at various establishments including Joël Robuchon in Ebisu, and subsequently served as head chef for over 10 years, involved in restaurant management and menu development.
