Real Estate Investment Firm Vertex Joins the "Corporate Federation for Creating the Future of Financial Education"

Vertex Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Yuji Kajio) joined the "Corporate Federation for Creating the Future of Financial Education" as a participating company on March 25, 2026. The federation aims to improve the financial literacy of the public. Given the era's backdrop where the importance of asset building is growing, we will work to spread financial education through corporate collaboration.

Background and Social Issues

In recent years in Japan, individuals are rapidly facing more situations where they must deal with money based on their own judgment, driven by rising prices, future anxiety about the social security system, and the diversification of working styles. On the other hand, the level of financial literacy in Japan is not considered sufficient by international standards, and the importance of financial education has been pointed out as a social issue.

In response to this situation, the Financial Services Agency established the Japan Financial Literacy and Education Corporation (J-FLEC) in April 2024 based on the "Act on the Provision of Financial Services and the Improvement of the Environment for Use" [1]. As a core institution promoting financial and economic education through public-private partnerships, J-FLEC is advancing the provision of learning opportunities for a wide range of age groups. According to the "Financial Literacy Survey 2025" [2] conducted and published by J-FLEC targeting people aged 18 and older nationwide, a disparity in the experience and knowledge levels of financial education became evident, indicating that issues remain regarding knowledge and judgment related to finance.

Furthermore, in the "Flow of Funds Accounts (Preliminary) April-June 2025" [3] published by the Bank of Japan in September 2025, while the outstanding balance of financial assets held by the household sector reached 2,239 trillion yen, cash and deposits accounted for 1,126 trillion yen, representing 50.3% of the total. Although risk assets such as stocks and investment trusts are on an upward trend, the data shows that the asset composition remains heavily skewed toward deposits and savings.

Purpose of Participation and Vertex's Initiatives

Vertex has thus far worked on providing knowledge for consumers to consider asset building through information dissemination and event appearances, primarily in the asset building domain centered on real estate.
