VERIPATH Inc. (Headquarters: Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, CEO: Gen Yamaoka), provider of the facial recognition-based pickup automation system "KIDSCALL" for childcare facilities, will exhibit at the "11th Kansai Education ICT Expo" to be held at INTEX Osaka on July 30 (Thu) and July 31 (Fri), 2026.
VERIPATH's mission is to smoothly connect "Verification" and "Path" to solutions, pursuing a "fully passive UX" where users are unaware of any device operations. At this exhibition, in addition to the facial recognition pickup automation service "KIDSCALL" for childcare facilities, we plan to exhibit "KIDSCALL School," a facial recognition-based attendance and entry management service for elementary schools and cram schools. We will introduce solutions that simultaneously ensure safety and reduce operational burden in childcare and educational settings, such as "attendance and entry management" and "automation of visits and notifications" using facial recognition.

"3 Types of Safety" Realized by Facial Recognition Pickup KIDSCALL (Kids Call)
1. 【Intrusion Prevention】 "Face" becomes the key, preventing impersonation, suspicious individuals, and illegal entry
Unlike physical keys or PIN codes, facial recognition cannot be stolen, lost, or lent. Only pre-registered guardians and authorized personnel can unlock the system, physically preventing the entry of suspicious individuals. Furthermore, guardians can unlock the system with a walk-through without stopping, achieving both smooth entry and strict security.
2. 【Enhanced Monitoring】 "Pickup Notification" simultaneously with unlocking, eliminating internal communication errors
Triggered by a guardian's entry (unlocking), an automatic notification such as "Pickup for [Guardian's Name]" is displayed on monitors in classrooms and staff rooms. This reduces the need for teachers to answer intercom calls and make internal calls, creating "more time" for teachers to supervise children.
3. 【For Facilities】 Security realized with "Zero Management Effort"
We have pursued "zero management effort" to resolve the dilemma of "wanting to enhance security but not increase the burden on staff." The system allows guardians to register and update their facial photos using their own smartphones. No photo taking or registration work is required from the facility staff. It can be used in conjunction with existing ICT and attendance/departure systems, allowing the introduction of "latest facial recognition security" without large-scale replacements.
Implementation Results and Reception
"We want to improve security, but we don't want to burden our staff."
KIDSCALL is chosen as the "solution" to these pressing issues for managers and principals.
Since the official release of the service, its philosophy and practicality have been highly evaluated, and it is currently being introduced in many nursery schools, kindergartens, and certified childcare centers. It can be implemented in as little as one day without the need for major construction. We will support kindergartens nationwide as new infrastructure that reduces analog operational burdens and contributes to "quality of childcare."
【Experience it first with an online demo】
We are offering online demos to allow you to experience the actual effects and usability. Please feel free to make a reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions about KIDSCALL
Q. What kind of service is KIDSCALL? A. It is a "facial recognition-based pickup automation system" for nursery schools, kindergartens, and certified childcare centers. The AI recognizes guardians' faces to automatically unlock the system and simultaneously notifies the classroom of their arrival. By eliminating the need for intercom responses and phone calls, it creates time for teachers to interact with children, simultaneously achieving "advanced security (crime prevention)" that prevents the entry of suspicious individuals and improves teacher work efficiency.
Q. Are there any operational burdens for the facility, such as photo registration and management? A. No, the management burden for the facility is "virtually zero." The system is designed so that guardians register and update their facial photos from their own smartphones. Since facility staff do not need to take photos or perform registration tasks, even facilities unfamiliar with ICT equipment can smoothly introduce and operate the system.
Q. Can it be installed outdoors? Also, can it authenticate smoothly on rainy days? A. Yes, it can be installed outdoors. The facial recognition terminal complies with "IP65 rating" for dust and water resistance and "IK06 rating" for impact resistance. It has high durability against rain, wind, and unexpected impacts, and supports a wide operating temperature range from -20°C to 50°C, allowing for safe use in cold regions and outdoor environments. Of course, even when holding an umbrella or with both hands occupied holding a child, "walk-through authentication" by simply looking at the camera allows for smooth entry.
Q. What are the benefits for the facility's management by implementing this system? A. The combination of "safety" and "ease of work" directly contributes to the facility's branding. By promoting the facility as a "latest security implementation facility certified by BabyTech® Awards," it helps gain trust from guardians (child recruitment) and strengthens the ability to recruit teachers by being a workplace with less operational burden.
Q. Can it be used in conjunction with existing attendance/departure systems (IC cards or tablets)? A. Yes, it can. You can continue to use your current attendance/departure management system and enhance only the "security (unlocking and entry management)" function with KIDSCALL. You can introduce the latest facial recognition technology without a large-scale system replacement.
Q. What is the difference in security compared to PIN codes or IC card locks? A. It makes unauthorized entry through "impersonation" or "key lending/borrowing" physically impossible. PIN codes carry the risk of "number leakage/reuse," and IC cards carry the risk of "loss/theft." KIDSCALL's facial recognition ensures that only the "registered individual" can unlock the system, minimizing the risk of unauthorized entry and achieving the most reliable identity verification.
Q. What are the effects in preventing the entry of unauthorized persons or suspicious individuals? A. In addition to shutting out unregistered individuals, it records "who entered and when." In conjunction with the automatic lock, it physically prevents unauthorized entry, and notifications are sent to the staff room upon unlocking, creating a system that is constantly monitored by both "human eyes" and "the system." In the unlikely event of an incident, entry logs with facial images serve as reliable evidence.
Q. Can it be retrofitted to existing automatic doors or gates?
A. Yes, it can be "retrofitted" without major construction. KIDSCALL is designed as a "standalone system" that maximizes the use of existing equipment. There is no need to replace the entire current door or electric lock system; simply adding the necessary equipment allows for installation in an average of one day.
