New CMs featuring Sanma Akashiya, "Sanma-san's First Visit" and "Smiling Appraisal Room," to be aired nationwide from May 4th

Valuence Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Mitsutoshi Tomita) will sequentially broadcast new commercials, "Sanma-san's First Visit" and "Smiling Appraisal Room," featuring Sanma Akashiya as the new CM character, nationwide from Monday, May 4, 2026.

In these new CMs, filming took place on a set faithfully reproducing the warm and inviting "private appraisal booths" found in actual "Nanboya" stores. Through Sanma-san's natural and approachable demeanor, the CMs express a sense of comfort that makes even first-time visitors think, "Let's just casually consult them." They also depict the sense of security when entrusting valuable items, thanks to the careful service provided by expert appraisers (value designers).

These CMs not only focus on the aspect of "selling items at a high price" but also express the "value of the buying experience itself," such as the exhilaration and excitement felt at the moment the appraisal amount is determined. They propose "new reuse value," allowing people to take the first step as if consulting a familiar place.

Filming Episode After preliminary acting guidance from the director, filming began without rehearsal. The shooting was done in long takes without cuts, adapting to Sanma-san's spontaneous acting. During filming, Sanma-san's ad-libs and interactions with the appraiser created a consistently harmonious atmosphere on set. Especially in the scene where variations were requested for the way he said "Oh, really!" with the female customer, the set was filled with laughter.

Sanma Akashiya's Comment Q: Please share your thoughts after finishing the CM shoot. A: Well, it was fast. Too fast. It felt like, "Is this really okay!?" (laughs). They even built such a set for me. The reason I decided to appear in this CM was that President Sakimoto (Representative Director of Valuence Holdings Co., Ltd.) asked me to appear. He had appeared on a certain program (hosted by Sanma-san) before, and I felt I had to repay that favor (laughs). That's how I came to appear in this CM.

Q: About the ad-lib exchange "Oh, really!" with the female customer in the CM. A: I think the director and the actress conspired to do that (laughs). I thought, since it's a CM, "Let's stick to the script." "Let's do exactly as told." But the other party (co-star) started ad-libbing first, which made for a confusing shoot (laughs).

Q: A message to everyone watching the CM. A: Please, everyone, try visiting "Nanboya" once. It's really great! I'm going to go myself next time. Anyway, I have a lot of unnecessary brand-name items, so I'm seriously going to go once. And I'll talk about my impressions on my radio show (laughs).
