Val Laboratory Test-Introduces Job-Sharing System "Tandem Method" for Managers

Val Laboratory (Headquarters: Suginami-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Munehisa Kikuchi), which provides the route search service "Ekispert," has test-introduced the job-sharing system called "Tandem Method" for its managers (equivalent to section chiefs). The "Tandem Method," test-introduced this time, is a work style where one job is divided and performed by multiple individuals, a job-sharing technique widely adopted, especially in Germany. At our company, we have established a two-person system for the role of team leader, who manages the team. This aims to distribute the workload and further enhance the expertise of each individual. Currently, this system has been implemented in 4 out of 20 teams. Through this initiative, we aim to build teams that leverage each person's strengths and further improve overall company performance and operational efficiency.
