V Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director & CEO: Kota Fujiwara; hereinafter "V"), which plans, develops, and operates social infrastructure in virtual spaces, has planned and produced 3D outfits, accessories, and a special VRChat world for the 25th anniversary of the IP "Kateika no Dragon," developed and licensed by Sunward Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Osaka; Representative Director: Ichiro Ueda; hereinafter "Sunward"), which manages characters including "Little Bobdog" and "Kateika no Dragon."

Sales of 3D outfits and accessories for avatars will begin on the sales platform "BOOTH" from 9 PM on Friday, May 8, 2026, and the special VRChat world will be released on the same day.

"That Dragon" Comes to VRChat. Reviving Memories in Virtual Space

"Kateika no Dragon," developed by Sunward, is a design series that has been popular as a motif for sewing kits and knapsacks in elementary and junior high schools. Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2026, this IP still boasts high recognition as a "nostalgic dragon" that remains in the memories of many people across generations.

This initiative commemorates the 25th anniversary of "Kateika no Dragon" by developing 3D outfits, accessories, and a special world for VRChat. By reconstructing the familiar designs of real school supplies into an experience where users can wear them, gather, and take photos in a virtual space, we aim to create new brand touchpoints.

Starting with nostalgia as an entry point, we will provide experiences that lead to interaction and self-expression in VRChat, delivering the world view of "Kateika no Dragon" not only to users who have been familiar with it but also to new users encountered in virtual spaces.

In this project, V Co., Ltd. was consistently responsible for everything from project planning to the production of 3D outfits and accessories, and the development of the VRChat world.

On the avatar sales platform "BOOTH," we will offer VRChat-compatible 3D outfits and accessories incorporating the iconic designs of "Kateika no Dragon." We have created items reminiscent of school supplies from that era, such as apron & jersey sets, knapsacks, and pass holders, as products that can be worn in virtual space.
