Yukai Engineering Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Shinjuku, Tokyo; representative: Shunsuke Aoki), which develops communication robots and IoT products under the vision of 'Making the world Yukai through robotics,' announced that 'mirumi' — a charm robot that 'sneaks glances' at the world — appeared in the Spring/Summer 26 fashion show of Italian fashion brand GCDS. The collection was presented in Milan, Italy on February 27, 2026.
The theme of this collection was 'What's in My Bag?' — the things that matter most inside your bag. Creative Director Giuliano Calza packed the runway with identities and personal 'treasures' he has cultivated over 10 years. Selected by Giuliano himself, 'mirumi' was chosen as the symbolic 'personal companion hiding in the modern bag,' representing the theme.
Dressed in a special costume and peeking curiously at the outside world through the gap of a bag, mirumi transcended the role of a mere accessory. It became a key item embodying the 'fusion of playfulness and technology' that the designer wanted to express on the milestone stage of his 10th anniversary, drawing intense attention from media and celebrities worldwide.
