Yukai Engineering Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Shunsuke Aoki), a company dedicated to the vision “Making the world a fun place with robotics” and developer of numerous communication robots and IoT products, has announced that its “peeking” charm robot “mirumi” (scheduled for release in Spring 2026) appeared in the Italian fashion brand GCDS's Spring/Summer 26 fashion show. The collection was unveiled on February 27, 2026, in Milan, Italy.
This collection's theme was “What’s in My Bag?” Creative Director Giuliano Calza filled bags with the identity and personal “treasures” he has built over the past 10 years and sent them down the runway. “mirumi” was personally selected by Mr. Calza to serve as a symbolic “personal companion lurking inside a modern bag.”
Dressed in a special costume and curiously “peeking” at the outside world from the gap in a bag, “mirumi” transcended the role of a simple accessory. It became a key item embodying the “playfulness” and “fusion of technology” that the designer wanted to express for the significant 10th-anniversary stage, garnering intense attention from global media and celebrities.
