Maruetsu Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Masaharu Honma) will open the 'Maruetsu Petit Minami-Otsuka 2-chome' store in Toshima Ward, Tokyo, on Friday, June 5, 2026.

Minami-Otsuka is adjacent to Ikebukuro and offers excellent transport access. The surrounding area features shops, restaurants, and residential buildings, making it a neighborhood where a wide range of generations, mainly single-person households, live. In this urban environment with diverse lifestyles, our store will offer a lineup that caters to both 'cooking' and 'ready-to-eat' needs. Together with the nearby Maruetsu Petit Shin-Otsuka store (a 5-minute walk away), we aim to contribute to the rich daily lives of local residents.

With this opening, the company's total number of stores will reach 311 (153 in Tokyo, 52 in Kanagawa, 49 in Chiba, 55 in Saitama, 1 in Tochigi, and 1 in Ibaraki). This will be our 7th store in Toshima Ward.

The produce section will feature seasonal vegetables at the entrance. We have expanded our selection of meat and fish to support home cooking.

In the deli corner, along with in-store prepared bento boxes and side dishes, we will offer cut fruits, salads, and meat/fish snacks to meet immediate consumption needs.

In the processed food section, we are strengthening our assortment of ready-to-eat items such as beverages, snacks, and cup noodles. Our frozen food selection will cater to both daily consumption and stock needs.
